The Shoah
The Shoah, or the Holocaust, was the horrific period of persecution and murder of approximately 12 million people, including six million Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, communists, and homosexuals. The process of the Holocaust was systematic, methodical and turned everyday people into monsters. The enormity of the Holocaust is difficult to comprehend, therefore one must research using multiple mediums, books, novels, film, and pictures, to begin to understand such an atrocity. There is insurmountable evidence proving the Holocaust occurred, yet there are still deniers, to deny the Holocaust is compound the atrocity with selective editing of history. If we deny or do not learn from history we are bound to repeat it. The key thing to learn from the Holocaust is that monsters are not born, they are made.
